Hublot

Hublot is a more modern brand of luxury Swiss-made watches that was founded in 1980. The name “Hublot” is French for “porthole,” which is what the brand’s designs resemble. The clean and minimalist nature of Hublot watches make them very unique timepieces. Distinct features of the brand include titanium screws to secure the bezel, as well as vanilla-scented rubber straps that were uncommon when first released, but are now imitated by other watch brands.

Hublot had a push forward when CEO Jean-Claude Biver came on board in 2003. Biver was responsible for Hublot’s flagship Big Bang chronograph collection (unveiled in 2005), which was a big success. Since that time, the company has received numerous Awards, ranging from 2005 Design Prize – Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix, Sports Watch Prize – Watch of the Year (Japan), and Best Oversized Watch – Watch of the Year (Bahrain).
